AAMA Connect 2008 – Silicon Valley Into the Next Decade
Dr. Robert Lee will be a panelist during the following session:
Panel Session A3:
Mergers & Acquisitions
While the volume of M&A deals have their cycles, in general, the number of cross-border transactions between the US and other Asian countries will continue to rise in the coming years. With the continued strong growth of the APAC economy and less optimal global IPO markets, M&A transactions offering immediate market access and expansion are increasingly attractive. Transactions take a wide range of shapes and forms, such as China Mobile's acquisition of Paktel, Hitachi's acquisition of M-Tech and various deals by global leaders such as Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TATA, etc.
This session will explore critically important issues regarding M&A transactions and opportunities for now and in the future. Our leading M&A experts will discuss the challenges, risks and threats in U.S.-APAC mergers & acquisitions transactions, as well as trends, opportunities and emerging arenas for the future.
